Get answers to common questions about Microdermabrasion.
Most clients notice an immediate healthy glow, with cumulative improvement after three to six sessions. Optimal results usually appear after a series spaced two to four weeks apart; individual response varies based on skin condition and age.
Microdermabrasion is typically gentle and well tolerated. You may feel light scratching or tingling, but anesthesia is rarely necessary. Our therapists adjust intensity for comfort and skin sensitivity during the treatment.
Most clients benefit from a series of four to six treatments to visibly improve texture, lines, and scars. Maintenance sessions every four to six weeks help preserve results; your clinician will customize a plan.
Temporary redness, mild swelling, and light flaking are common and typically resolve within a few days. Avoid direct sun and follow our aftercare; persistent irritation is rare but should be reported to your therapist.
Ideal candidates have mild to moderate sun damage, fine lines, enlarged pores, or shallow acne scarring. Those with active acne, rosacea, or very thin skin may require alternative treatments or a medical consult first.
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, retinoids, and chemical peels for at least one to two weeks. Come with clean skin, disclose medications and allergies, and follow any personalized pre-care provided by your clinician.
